Due to weather conditions, the Metro Chamber Orchestra will be held at the Fort Hamilton Theater, NOT the Fort Hamilton Community Club. The Fort Hamilton Community Club will still offer a dinner buffet starting at 1730 PM. There will be a shuttle available to from the Community Club to the theater is needed.

The Metro Chamber Orchestra opens its 15th season with "The Concert at the Fort" a specials free concert at Brooklyn's U.S. Army Fort Hamilton base, Friday, July 14th, 2017 at 7:00 PM.

A concert of American music in appreciation of our Armed Force Services, our Veterans and their Families.

The Metro Chamber Orchestra in Brooklyn's only resident professional orchestra and at this concert it pays tribute to our Armed Forced and our Veterans. The program, led by Metro's Artistic Director Phil Nuzzo will feature music by Bernstein, Copland, Sousa and much more.


The evening's featured selection will be Aaron Copland's "A Lincoln Portrait" narrated by Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams. Copland is arguably America's greatest composer and was born of Russian immigrants on Washington Ave. In the Prospect Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn.
