The unit fund account is established within the Fort Hamilton DFMWR to provide NAF dollars for tenant unit's morale, welfare and recreational activities that are not supported by Appropriated Funds.
This program is only for Fort Hamilton tenant units. Unit fund dividends are issued based off of budgeted amounts set at the beginning of each fiscal year. The annual allocated amount for Fort Hamilton soldiers are $4, based upon actual unit strength.
Unit Funds must be used for the collective benefit of all unit members for off duty recreational purposes, and all members must have the opportunity to participate.
Units will not request or accept Non Appropriated Funds from more than one source. Unit Funds cannot be used for any expense involved in a change of command or retirement ceremony, command representation, protocol function, scholarships, state and local tax, unit ceremonies, hail or farewell ceremonies or any other personal type event.
